WORK-IN-PROGRESS SNIPPET

My manuscript just needs a little more editing. I hope to submit it by August (fingers xxxx).

The stately manor of Sherbourne Park was visible here and there between the last trees of Rowley Wood.  “Alexandra,” Rupert said in a near whisper as a sharp pang constricted his chest.  He looked away and clenched his jaw hard against a heaviness of heart and mind that threatened to unleash a flood of emotions he no longer dared entertain.  Wave after wave of pleasant visions of her lashed against his waning resolve. She danced softly through his mind, the colorful tapestry of her character stirring his admiration.  The passionate expressiveness of her eyes often mirrored the torment he knew weighed heavily on her mind, yet all the world seemed more glorious when she favored it with one of her brilliant, but gentle, smiles.

  1. Very nice! I have yet to read Lydia but I am eager too.

Will your second book be a sequel or a stand alone book?

  2. I am excited to say I just ordered Lydia. What a lovely cover!

I just noticed your Great Read section, I love Pamela Aidan, she is the only Pride & Prejudice sequel author I have read.(and look forward to her fourth Darcy book)
I also love and have read every one of Julie Klassen books as well as Sarah Eden's current books.

  4. Thank you for taking the time to let me know you enjoyed Lydia! I so much appreciate your kind comments. I keep thinking my second book is ready for the publisher then find something I still want to improve. I imagine it won't come out until late Spring at the very earliest. Thanks again.

  5. I absolutely LOVED Lydia! Could not put it down.
Bought my own copy and read it over and over. Can't wait for your next book. I am wondering if you would ever write Charles his own book. Loved the character!

  6. Thank you so much for your wonderful message! You are so kind to take the time to write and let me know how much you enjoyed Lydia. I am very, very close to being finished with my second book, but it will be a while before it is published. It is interesting, but several readers have expressed a desire to see me write a book about Charles finding love. I will seriously think about doing so. Thank you again for writing. As soon as I have an approximate publication date for my second book, I will post it on my blog. Take care, and have a great weekend.
